About the role

Bestoked Pty Ltd, an established event construction company based in Caringbah, Sydney are seeking an experienced Carpenter/Shop Fitter/Joiner to join our team. As a Carpenter/Shop Fitter/Joiner, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication and installation of custom builds for a diverse range of projects across sporting, theatre, activation and event construction. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to the continued growth and success of our business.

What you'll be doing

Fabricate and assemble custom builds, fixtures, and other woodworking components in our workshop

Carefully measure, cut, and install custom builds both in workshop and on various sites

Collaborate with project director, team and clients to ensure the successful completion of each project

Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, sharing your expertise and knowledge

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Carpenter/Shop Fitter/Joiner or similar role in the carpentry and cabinet making industry

Previous event construction experience preferred but not essential

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges on-site

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with clients

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality

A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to reach our Caringbah workshop and sites as required
