About the role

Redcliffe Hospital is a secondary level facility located within Metro North Hospital and Health Service. The Occupational Therapy Services provided are general specialist services. This position rotates through acute and sub-acute caseloads at Redcliffe Hospital. There may be a requirement to work on weekends as the hospital moves to a 7 day per week service.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Deliver Occupational Therapy clinical services within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
• Apply increasingly independent clinical judgement as experience builds, to more complex clinical decision making under the clinical practice supervision and professional guidance of a more senior clinician.
• Contribute to effective team dynamics as well as patient and stakeholder relationships utilising well developed communication and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrate sound clinical reasoning, be able to communicate this effectively and act as a patient advocate when relevant.
• Demonstrate ability to apply effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Work cooperatively and effectively within the Occupational Therapy team, multidisciplinary team and other service providers to deliver patient focussed care.
