We are currently seeking a Commercial Analyst to join our dynamic and driven team.

About the Role

This newly created role will report to the CFO and will play a key role in supporting the commercial decision-making process across multiple business streams. You will drive commercial analysis, assist in pricing strategies, optimise financial performance, and develop models to support our strategic planning and investments. This is a high-impact role requiring excellent financial acumen, commercial insight, and stakeholder management skills. We are looking for someone to carry out the task and not advice us what to do.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver strategic and financial insights to senior leadership and operations teams.

Prepare business cases, pricing models, and performance reports across Auspro’s energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.

Analyse key cost and revenue drivers, including lead generation, installation workflows, and VEEC/STC market trends.

Monitor and assess financial performance of VEU and Federal energy upgrade programs.

Partner with sales, operations, and compliance teams to identify margin improvement opportunities.

Provide financial modelling support for new ventures and business proposals (e.g., warehouse development, solar installs, aggregation).

Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.

Conduct scenario analysis for business initiatives and potential risks.

Present actionable insights and recommendations to leadership and executive team.

Ideal Candidate

Degree qualified in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

3+ years’ experience in commercial or financial analysis (energy sector experience preferred).

Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills (Power BI and SQL a bonus).

Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business operations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey insights to non-finance stakeholders.

Analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
