About the role

Join the trusted team at AC Equipment as a full-time Heavy Diesel Field Service Mechanic based in Wingfield. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing expert maintenance and repair services for a wide range of heavy equipment used across diverse industries. Working on-site with our valued clients, you will play a vital part in keeping their operations running smoothly and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

Conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of heavy diesel equipment

Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues

Performing field servicing and emergency repairs to equipment at client sites

Documenting all work completed and maintaining detailed records

Communicating effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates

Demonstrating a commitment to workplace health and safety at all times

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or Auto Electrical

Extensive experience (5+ years) working as a Field Service Mechanic on heavy equipment would be preferred but not essential in the construction, mining, or agriculture sectors

Proven ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

A current driver's license and ability to travel to client sites as required

Commitment to working safely and upholding high standards of workmanship
