Position Overview:

As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic at Langtree's Machinery Service, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of diesel engines and heavy vehicles. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and determine repair needs.

Perform repairs, maintenance, and overhauls on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other heavy equipment components.

Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment accurately.

Use a variety of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery to complete tasks.

Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Collaborate with team members to coordinate repairs and efficiently complete tasks.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labour hours.

Qualifications:

Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics (AUR/MEM).

Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.

Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment.

Cummins and CAT experience are desired.

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices.

Effective communication skills.

Flexibility to adapt to changing work requirements.

Valid driver's license.
