Blaq is back – and we’re looking for a leader to help us relaunch in style.

Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Blue Mountains, Blaq Restaurant & Bar is set to relaunch at the end of July with an exciting new direction. At the helm of the kitchen, we have a new and renowned Executive Chef duo, bringing a fresh and refined approach to modern Australian dining.

Now, we’re searching for a passionate, experienced Restaurant Manager who can bring the front-of-house to life with equal flair — someone who thrives on guest interaction, leads from the front, and can ensure every service runs like clockwork.

About You

You're a natural leader who:

Brings warmth and confidence to every guest interaction

Strong but fair leader that can guide the team to working well together but also ensuring the restaurant is also taken for

Builds strong, happy teams and drives performance through systems, structure, and support

Is calm under pressure and thrives in busy, dynamic environments

Is switched on, hands-on, and invested in the long-term success of the venue

You’ll need to be:

Experienced in restaurant management or senior FOH leadership roles

System-savvy, with the ability to keep the back of house in order (Lightspeed K Series and OpenTable experience is a plus!)

Organised, proactive, and a great communicator across all levels of the business

The Role

Full-time leadership position, starting as soon as possible

Oversee daily FOH operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality service

Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to deliver a holistic and memorable guest experience

Manage staffing, rosters, ordering, and FOH systems

Represent the Blaq brand on the floor – charismatic, present, and genuinely welcoming
