Operational Technology Specialist - 7 days on, 7 days off - Mining Entity - Competitive Rates

Our client is a major coal producer and exporter, with several mine sites located across the Bowen Basin in Queensland.

Your new role

Your responsibilities will include :

• Ensuring day-to-day availability and maintenance of the site's Operational Technology Systems
  
• Experience in the following Operational Technology Systems would be considered: Fleet Management Systems (Modular and Terrain), Digital Radio (DRS), Network and Servers, CCTV, Wireless Telemetry Systems (WTS), LTE networks, Fuel Management systems, Site Control Systems (PLC/SCADA) and site security access system.
  
• Provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to support teams to resolve priority issues.
  
• Execute work orders as per schedule and/or directed by the Technology supervisor and complete the relevant work instructions associated with the work orders.
  
• Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability.
  
• Validate quality of work performed prior to completion.
• Review and request updates to Work Management and other Master Data as required.
• Complete work management processes during shift and update supervisor.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

• Trade certificate in Auto Electrical, Radio/LTE/Industrial Wireless Communications, Electronics or Industrial Electrical/Instrumentation
• Familiarity with mining Operations Technology, Digital Radio, Fleet Management, Communication Networks (WTS/LTE), control systems (PLC/SCADA) and Fuel Management
• A proven track record of safety within an operational environment
• An ability to prioritise effectively and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Proactive in identifying areas of improvement in the management of technology systems.
