About the role

IFTAR is a premier Middle Eastern restaurant in Merrylands NSW, seeking an experienced Cook to join our passionate team. This is a full-time position, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to showcase their culinary expertise and contribute to the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Lebanese dishes to the highest standards
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met
• Assist in the development and testing of new menu items
• Collaborate with the Head Chef to optimise kitchen operations and identify areas for improvement
• Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff as required
• Ensure efficient stock control and inventory management

What we're looking for

• Relevant experience as a Cook, ideally in a Lebanese or Middle Eastern restaurant
• Strong knowledge of traditional Lebanese cuisine and cooking techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
• Collaborative approach and willingness to work as part of a team
