About the role

A casual pastry chef/cook position has become available at The pastry emporium in Bundall, QLD. As a pastry chef/cook, you will be responsible for creating desserts and baked goods to delight our customers. This is a great opportunity to showcase your pastry skills and contribute to the success of our vibrant café.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and bake a variety of high-quality pastries, cakes, and other desserts according to recipes.

Assist with the daily operations of the kitchen, including inventory management, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and organised work environment

Short order cooking for our daily all day menu(bacon & eggs, scrambled eggs)

What we're looking for

Formal training or qualifications in pastry or cheffing

Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a pastry chef or cook in a fast-paced café or restaurant

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members

Passion for creating delicious and visually appealing pastries and desserts

Flexibility to work a casual schedule, including weekends and holidays
