About The Opportunity

Join the Bundaberg Regional Galleries team and play a key role in delivering a welcoming and professional visitor experience. This permanent part-time position is responsible for providing high-level administrative support and overseeing the day-to-day front of house operations.

The role requires weekend availability, with regular shifts on both Saturday and Sunday and is a minimum of 38 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate will work across both the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery and the Childers Art Gallery.

About You

  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality confidential administration to visitors and a team, solving queries and problems.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities in a demanding environment whilst maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to consult, communicate and problem solve effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer-based programs and processes including Email, Internet, Word, Excel, record keeping applications and a Point of Sale (POS) system with the ability to learn internal Council software packages.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Current Open “C” Class Driver’s License.
  • Demonstrated understanding and a genuine interest in Visual Arts.
  • Sound knowledge of Council’s functions and procedures and/or Local Government experience.
