Functional Consultant- Salesforce
- SNSW Grade 7/8
- Location - Haymarket, Parramatta or Gosford
- 1 x Maternity Backfill for 12 months
About the Role:
As a Salesforce Functional Consultant, you will drive process improvements by analysing business needs and delivering scalable Salesforce solutions. You will work with stakeholders to define requirements, support platform enhancements, manage data quality, and oversee release management, ensuring a secure, efficient, and integrated Salesforce environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyse business processes and recommend Salesforce solutions that improve efficiency and customer engagement.
- Conduct gap analysis and define user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Elicit, analyse, and document business needs by developing EPICS and Stories that clearly define requirements and their implementation within Salesforce.
- Collaborate with Salesforce developers, architects, and administrators to design and implement system improvements.
- Support system testing, create, conduct and manage User Acceptance Testing, and training efforts to ensure successful deployment.
- Managing Salesforce data models, data acquisition, and data quality across integrated platforms.
- Ensuring the security, scalability, and operational efficiency of the Salesforce environment.
- Overseeing release management and ensure controlled, efficient platform updates.
- Providing quality customer service to internal stakeholders and ensure smooth business operations.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to integrate Salesforce solutions with associated applications.
- Support system testing, create, conduct and manage User Acceptance Testing, and training efforts to ensure successful deployment.
Your skills and experience:
- A background in business analysis with proven experience in facilitating requirements gathering workshops
- Excellent communications skills to liaise with all levels of stakeholders regarding Salesforce capabilities
- Salesforce certifications are highly regarded.
- At least 2+ years' experience in a similar functional consultant role.
- Sound technical knowledge and understanding of the Salesforce platform
- Problem solver to help propose enterprise-wide solutions
Your technical skills:
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce administration, customisation, automation, and integration.
- Demonstrated experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, ideally with Public Sector Solutions (PSS).

Support office roles will be headquartered across McKell, Parramatta and Gosford. We will consider role headquarters outside of the above locations where the role can reasonably be performed from that location taking into consideration the operational, financial and customer requirements of the role, and an ability to attend a NSW Government workplace as required.
Salary Service NSW Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $105,986 base plus superannuation
