PeopleSoft Technical Consultant – NSW Government

• Contract until March 2026 w/ extensions
• Meadowbank / WFH
• $1000 p/d + super

Primary Purpose

Support the delivery of enterprise system solutions by analysing business requirements and translating them into functional and technical specifications. Work closely with stakeholders, developers, and vendors to ensure effective implementation, integration, and support of business applications.

Key Accountabilities

• Analyse and document current business processes and functional requirements for new or enhanced systems
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications, user stories, and solution designs
• Collaborate with technical consultants and developers to design, configure, and implement system changes
• Provide functional and application support including issue triage, root cause analysis, and user acceptance testing
• Contribute to system integration activities, including defining interface requirements, data mapping, and end-to-end process validation
• Participate in system builds, configuration, and release planning across development and test environments
• Identify risks and dependencies and support mitigation planning across project and BAU activities
• Document functional specifications, test cases, user guides, and support materials
• Support change management, training, and post-implementation handover to operations

Essential Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in IT, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong experience as a Functional Consultant or Business Analyst in enterprise system environments (ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.)
• Working knowledge of integration methods (e.g. APIs, middleware), data modelling, and system configuration
• Proficient in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and SQL for requirements tracking, process mapping, and functional validation
• Solid understanding of Agile and/or hybrid project delivery methodologies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical teams
