About the role

As a Bid Coordinator at FGI Developments', you will play a crucial role in the company's construction projects. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the bid process, ensuring the company's proposals are tailored, comprehensive and competitive. This full-time position is based in Cairns, QLD 4870.

What you'll be doing

Assist in the development and implementation of bid strategies to maximize the company's success rate

Coordinate the bid submission process, including gathering information, managing timelines and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as estimating, design and project management, to compile comprehensive and compliant bid proposals

Conduct thorough research on potential clients, projects and competitors to identify key opportunities and risks

Maintain a detailed database of bid history and lessons learned to continuously improve the company's bidding capabilities

Provide administrative support throughout the bid lifecycle, including formatting, proofreading and submission of bid documents

What we're looking for

Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a bid coordination or similar role within the construction industry

Strong understanding of the construction bidding process and tendering requirements

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams

Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Estimating Software

Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as construction management or business administration, would be highly regarded
