We’re looking for a passionate and community-minded cook who believes food is more than fuel—it’s a chance to connect, care, and learn together.

As the cook for our Healthy Eating Program, you’ll do more than just prepare meals. You’ll work side-by-side with young people, guiding them in the life skills of cooking, nourishment, budgeting, and collaboration. You’ll be a key part of our learning community, feeding minds and hearts alike.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks for 200–300 people daily

Co-creating menus that align with seasonal produce and budget goals

Supporting young people to learn kitchen skills and build life confidence

Maintaining high standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen compliance

Being a vital member of our team—sharing ideas and contributing to village life

Barista experience? Even better! We love coffee with community

Who You Are:

Holds a qualification in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality

Experienced in preparing large-scale meals in a school, camp, or similar setting

Confident working within a budget and leading with sustainability in mind

Passionate about involving young people in meaningful, hands-on experiences

Organised, safety-conscious, and comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen

A believer in food as connection, culture, and community
