Role Description
This is a full-time, licensed, work from home role, for a M&A Specialist who will become part of the CDI Global Australia & New Zealand (CDI Global ANZ) Partner base.
The M&A Specialist will be responsible for both deal origination and mandate execution; advising middle-market companies to successfully navigate and complete transactions in buying/selling businesses to domestic and global firms.
The primary responsibilities include:
Proactively involved in securing new mandates; with a buy-side and sell-side focus.
The execution and management of the entire M&A process, including IM development, company search, target engagement, client updates, deal negotiations, due-diligence, and legal facilitation.
Undertaking company analysis (financial and operational) and developing professional Information Memorandums.
Selling and negotiating complex transactions with senior c-level executives and third-party advisors.
Developing and maintaining relationships with key clientele, including business owners, corporate executives, private equity firms, financial sponsors, and legal advisors.
The role provides rapid career advancement prospects, as the completeness of these skills can be developed overtime. Alternatively, if the candidate has previous experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity or a family office, financial success and career advancement can be attained on a more rapid basis.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have strengths in sales and deal origination, analytical skills, report writing and is entrepreneurial in nature. The role would suit an industry professional with a strong history of business development. Previous M&A or corporate finance experience is a plus, but not a requirement. Desired skills and experience include:
A history of successful new business development and sales skills.
Exposure to working with c-level executives.
A competent level of analytical ability.
Excellent communication, writing and negotiation skills.
Relevant degree qualification – commerce, finance, business, law, accounting etc.
Experience in finance and accounting, understanding a company’s P&L and balance sheet.
Ability to work independently and remotely.
Results driven with a positive attitude and integrity.
