About the role

At Claimsplus Lawyers, we help everyday Australians access their superannuation insurance entitlements when they need it most. We’re seeking a Claims Specialist – TPD & Income Protection to engage with potential clients early in their journey and assess whether they may have a potential claim.

This role is ideal for someone who excels in meaningful client communication, has a strong understanding of personal insurance claims, and thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Speaking directly with potential clients to understand their situation and assess claim viability

Reviewing and triaging incoming TPD and income protection matters

Coordinating with clients, insurers, doctors, and other stakeholders to obtain relevant information

Preparing concise assessments and recommendations for legal review

Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations

Providing compassionate and professional client service throughout the claims journey

Contributing to process improvements and sharing insights with the broader team

What We’re Looking For

2+ years' experience in TPD and income protection claims, superannuation, or legal intake/assessment roles

Strong working knowledge of TPD and income protection claim processes within superannuation

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills – clear, empathetic, and confident

Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving ability

Comfortable using claims or CRM systems (Actionstep experience is a plus)

Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Relevant qualifications in insurance, law, or health sciences (preferred but not essential)
