The Opportunity
It is a very exciting time at The Kids Research Institute Australia as we continue to evolve from what began in the 1980’s as a vision to create a world-class child health research hub. We have recently changed our name from the Telethon Kids Institute, but we continue to achieve our vision of happy, healthy kids!
Our Immunology Research team is seeking motivated Clinical Fellows with a keen interest in research to help deliver a high-quality research program in the field of immunology and food allergy, at The Kids Research Institute Australia and Perth Children’s Hospital.
We now have an opportunity available for a Clinical Research Fellow to join our program of research in allergy and immunology and to provide clinical oversight of our trials conducted in these fields.
This role will work under supervision of the lead investigators to provide the direct clinical support for investigational studies. The successful candidates will liaise with clinical trial sponsors, medical monitors, participants and their usual primary health care providers to deliver high quality research.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Participate in the development of new trial/ research studies.
Be responsible for medical aspects of clinical research appointments.
Develop research protocols and parent information sheets.
Attend investigator’s meetings and conferences.
We have capacity for a full-time or part time positions to commence Aug/Sept 2025 (flexible to accommodate other clinical commitments). The positions will be for a minimum of 6 months with possibility of extension (dates can align with registrar terms where applicable).
About You
This position would suit someone who is passionate about research, has a high level of self-motivation and is comfortable working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The key to your success will be your demonstrated experience/ skills in:
Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
Demonstrated research & clinical experience, specifically in the management of anaphylaxis.
Training and experience in Paediatrics.
Sound computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications).
