The Opportunity
Our current team member is taking a well-deserved break and we’re looking for someone to fill their shoes for the next 12 months!
For the last 5 years we have focused on building our automation in our manufacturing and sales environment, investing in software and integrations that improve our accuracy, efficiencies and workflows across the business.
Our next stage of development is building our Sharepoint and 365 environment for better data protection, security and to enhance our collaboration across teams and the business.
You will be involved in these projects and activities, while also responsible for (but not limited to):
- Providing desktop support for our 30-40 users during business hours and after-hours support
- Managing and maintain Windows Servers and VMWare environments.
- Administering Hybrid Active Directory (on-prem and Azure AD).
- Overseeing Exchange Online / Office 365 email systems.
- Managing network infrastructure.
- Administering and support SQL Server databases.
- Writing and troubleshooting SQL queries for data extraction and bulk operations.
- Designing and maintaining reports using Crystal Reports, Power BI, or Tableau
- Troubleshooting system integration issues and coordinate with remote vendors.
The Person
With a close-knit but moderate-sized workforce of 100 employees, with roughly 40-50 key stakeholders, this role is a stand-alone position, focused on providing reliable customer service both internally and externally.
We are a 24-hour operation, which means you may receive phone calls any time Monday to Saturday if systems support is required for our production teams. It’s not often but it certainly happens!
This is a broad role that gives you variety, challenges and ability to think adaptively and creatively to finding solutions to problems.
To be successful in this role you must evidence the following:
- Willingness to learn and familiarise yourself with our production systems and provide support to the production teams.
- Experience working with production, warehousing or complex retail systems
- Strong SQL knowledge and use.
- Sharepoint and Microsoft 365 experience
- Able to autonomously and independently manage the work
- Experience managing customer requests and managing from submission to completion.
- Great communication and able to simplify issues to relatable terms
- Flexibility with regards to managing issues that arise out-of-hours.
- Cost-efficient approach to managing expenses and resolving issues.
