Hours: Approx. 6:30 AM – 12/1 PM

About the Role
Kevria is currently seeking a capable and caring Support Worker with strong personal care experience to support a vibrant teenage girl with complex physical needs. This role involves high intensity care and is ideal for someone who is energetic, detail-oriented and confident in hands-on personal care.

You’ll be part of a small, person-centred team supporting morning routines and helping set the tone for a positive, safe and dignified day.

Please note: Due to the nature of the personal care required and in line with the expressed preferences of the participant and her guardian, a female support worker is required for this role. This position is considered a genuine occupational requirement and is compliant with Section 31 of the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth) and relevant state-based exemptions.

Key Responsibilities:

Transfer using a hoist (bed to change table)

Wash-downs and personal hygiene care

Changing incontinence aids and colostomy bag

Suprapubic catheter care (through belly button)

Strapping feet and applying splints

Supporting breakfast and light meal prep

Creating a friendly and engaging morning environment

What We're Looking For:

Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Nursing or equivalent

Experience in high physical support and personal care tasks

Competency in using hoists and manual handling equipment

Comfortable with colostomy and catheter care

Strong verbal communication skills (fluent, clear English)

Reliable, warm and able to build a trusted connection with a young person

Someone with a fun and steady presence who can engage respectfully with teenagers
