About the role

We are currently seeking experienced Aged Care Support Workers to provide care and support services to our carers and guests at our beautiful, fully renovated federation respite cottage located in Hamilton

Alisa Craig Cottage offers a true home away from home experience with a small team approach that is unique in the Hunter. It provides our guests with the options of day, overnight, emergency, and planned respite care in one of our four private bedrooms with en-suite.

Skills & Requirements

A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent qualification

An ability and willingness to work weekends, and evening/nights, 8-hour shifts including the availability to work at short notice

Previous work experience in providing personal care and services to frail aged and people with Dementia.

Demonstrated ability to build rapport, establish relationships and adapt communication style to suit different audiences.

Proven ability to work as part of a team but also independently and exercise sound decision making skills within an autonomous environment.

Willingness to be responsive and flexible, demonstrated recognition of the demands of a customer driven service delivery model that empowers choice.

Previous work experience in organising a daily consumer routine.

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including computer skills

The right to work in Australia.

A current NSW driver’s licence and access to your own reliable car with comprehensive car insurance.

National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain

Proof of Influenza and Covid 19 Vaccination including booster
