Adecco is partnering with a national leader in facilities management services to recruit a proactive, confident, and solutions-driven Facilities Manager to oversee one of their high-performing Distribution Centres based in Southwest Melbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced environment where you will take full ownership of facilities, contractor management, compliance, and continuous improvement at site level.

Our client is a well-established, trusted facilities services provider with a national footprint and strong relationships across retail, logistics, healthcare, and commercial sectors. With a focus on safety, efficiency, and innovation, they are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager with a proven track record managing complex industrial, commercial, or logistics sites.

The Role
Reporting to the National Operations Manager and working closely with the DC Site Manager, you will lead the day-to-day facilities operations of the distribution centre. You will be the key contact for all maintenance activity, managing both internal technicians and external contractors, ensuring a safe, compliant, and cost-effective site operation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Oversee all facilities maintenance activities, planned and reactive, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Act as the primary point of contact for contractors, technicians, and visitors to site.

Engage with site stakeholders (DC Managers, 3PLs, internal teams) to align maintenance priorities with business needs.

Identify opportunities for operational and energy efficiencies and lead continuous improvement projects.

Manage the site maintenance budget, contractor compliance, and service performance.

Ensure full compliance with WHS regulations and internal HSEQ frameworks.

Maintain asset registers and ensure planned maintenance schedules are executed effectively.

Drive contractor selection and review processes in collaboration with procurement.

Work closely with internal helpdesk and other site FMs to share best practice and support cross-site consistency.

About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll be a confident communicator who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys balancing planning with hands-on problem-solving. You will bring:

5+ years of experience in facilities management.

Previous experience working in or around large-scale logistics/DC sites, hospitals, shopping centres, or supermarkets is highly regarded.

Background as a Trade or Service Manager is advantageous.

Experience engaging and managing contractors, technicians, and service providers.

Strong knowledge of WHS obligations and contractor compliance requirements.

Budgeting and financial planning capabilities.

A current Driver’s Licence (essential).

Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications.
