The Role

As the Assistant Manager Recreation Services you will:

Oversee operations of sport facilities, centres, playgrounds and cemeteries

Guide the Recreation Services team through ongoing development and improvement

Develop and maintain positive stakeholder relationships with sporting and recreation organisations

Ensure optimum financial performance of Council's recreational commercial operations

Liaise with all levels of Government to maximise all opportunities to improve recreation in the Huon Valley.

Skills & Experience

The successful applicant will have the following:

Tertiary qualification or extensive hands-on recreation industry experience

Experience guiding teams through growth and innovation

Strong stakeholder engagement skills with ability to build lasting community partnerships

Excellent communication skills and natural problem-solving ability
