Workfast is looking for an experienced Front End Loader Operator to join their Sawmill team in Fyshwick, ACT. This job is an ongoing casual position with full-time hours for the right candidate.

Location: Fyshwick, ACT
Pay: $40.00 p/hr + OT and Super
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm
Duration: Ongoing (Temp to perm)
Start Date: ASAP

About you

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Front End Loader Operator with experience in timber, sawmill, or heavy yard operations. The ideal candidate is confident operating machinery in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and is physically fit to assist with general labour when required.

What you need

• Valid Front End Loader ticket
• White Card
• 1–2 years’ experience operating a front end loader
• Previous experience in sawmill, timber yard, or heavy material handling
• Physically fit and capable of assisting with manual labour as needed
• Strong understanding of WHS practices
• Reliable transport to and from site
• Must be able to undergo pre-employment medical / police check.

• Operating front end loader in a sawmill environment
• Loading timber, waste, and raw materials for processing
• Feeding timber into machines or production areas
• Assisting with yard organisation and general labour tasks
• Performing safety and maintenance checks on equipment
• Working closely with the production and dispatch teams
• Maintaining a clean and safe yard space
