Join the vibrant front-of-house team at Hecho En Mexico Kingston, a popular Mexican restaurant coming in the heart of Kingston, ACT. As a Front of House Staff and Bartender, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key responsibilities

Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner

Efficiently manage the dining room, including seating guests, taking orders, and serving food and drinks

Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages

Provide recommendations on menu items and beverages to ensure customers have an enjoyable dining experience

Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tables are cleared and reset promptly

Assist with hosting duties, such as reservations and wait list management

Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment

Adhere to all health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a similar front-of-house or bartending role, ideally in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment

Strong customer service skills and a genuine passion for providing exceptional dining experiences

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team

Proficiency in making a variety of cocktails, with knowledge of drink recipes and preparation techniques

Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures

A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and manage a fast-paced environment

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or willingness to obtain
