About the role
Kaechacon' is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for the construction, installation, and repair of a variety of wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work on a full range of different sites and gain experience in all aspects of carpentry from framing, lockup and fix.
What you'll be doing
Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine project requirements or trained to do so.
Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wooden structures and components
Perform carpentry duties such as framing, flooring, roofing, and siding
Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, meeting safety and quality guidelines
Collaborate with other tradesmen, such as electricians and plumbers, to coordinate projects
Maintain a clean and organised work environment
Provide support and guidance to apprentices as you grow within the business to pass on to future junior entries.
What we're looking for
Formal carpentry qualification, such as a Certificate III in Carpentry for experienced carpenters or a willingness to learn for junior apprentices.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Carpenter in the construction industry with a tool set up and able to be left on site un supervised.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, as well as reading and interpreting building plans.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors
Current driver's licence and reliable transportation
Junior entries must be punctual and not be afraid of hardwork.
