About The Opportunity

This position plays a key role in assisting and supporting the branch with the planning and delivery of Council events and events hosted in the Bundaberg Multiplex Sport & Convention Centre. You will contribute to the successful coordination of a diverse range of community, corporate and private events by providing operational and administrative support across all stages of event delivery. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that brings events to life across the region.

About You

  • Provision of a satisfactory Criminal History Check – Police Certificate (Australia wide – name only)
  • Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills to liaise with a wide variety of people including all levels of staff, public and government bodies
  • Proven ability in supporting the coordination and staging of events including administrative support, functions as well as the physical setup and dismantling of events
  • High-level computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, data entry and typing skills
  • High-level ability to interact positively in a team environment
  • High-level problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Willingness to work on weekends and work on public holidays as required
  • Current Open “C” Class Driver’s License
  • Sound knowledge of Council’s functions and procedures and/or Local Government experience highly desirable
