We are working with a progressive local council south of Brisbane seeking an experienced Team Leader – Civil Design for a 6-month contract (with potential extension). This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role, guiding a small team of designers in the delivery of key civil infrastructure projects.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of 2–4 civil designers (AutoCAD and 12D environment)
• Oversee the timely delivery of design projects across civil infrastructure
• Provide guidance and technical leadership across road, drainage, and public works design
• Support the development of junior team members
• Liaise with external consultants to ensure quality outputs
• Monitor workflow, track progress, and maintain project timelines

📍 Contract Details:

• 6-month contract with possible extension
• 36.25-hour work week, Monday to Friday
• Hybrid flexibility – min. 4 days in office preferred (flexibility increases over time)
• Pay rate up to $130 p/h
• Start ASAP

• Proven experience delivering complex civil design projects, ideally within a local government setting
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
• Proficient in AutoCAD, 12D, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent stakeholder communication and project tracking abilities
• Full Australian working rights required
