🚜 About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled and self-motivated Field Services Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. You’ll be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of mobile plant and field equipment across various job sites. This is a field-based role, perfect for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and getting their hands dirty.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on mobile plant and heavy diesel equipment

Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in the field

Complete service reports and maintain accurate job records

Liaise with clients and provide technical support on-site

Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company and industry standards

🛠️ What We’re Looking For

Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic (Cert III Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)

Proven experience in field service work with mobile plant and heavy equipment (e.g. excavators, loaders, dozers, graders)

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Current driver’s license (HR preferred)

High regard for safety and quality workmanship

🎯 Bonus Points For

Experience with brands like Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, or Volvo

Familiarity with hydraulic systems and electronic diagnostics

Forklift, EWP, or other relevant tickets
