About the role
This position will be focused on strategy, policy and plan development relating to sport, recreation and leisure. The position will be responsible for developing and delivering strategic documents and plans relating to organised sport, active recreation, aquatic and stadium facilities, as well as policy development with the aim to increase the participation of Manningham residents in physical activity.
Skills and experience
- A tertiary qualification relevant to the recreation, leisure or other related field.
- Significant relevant experience in a similar role delivering sport, recreation and leisure planning that meets the needs of the community.
- Extensive experience in developing key strategic documents with the ability to be innovative and think creatively.
- A high level of experience in project management and delivery.
- Experience in contracting and supervision of consultants or contractors.
- Demonstrated experience undertaking research and data analysis to inform evidence-based decision making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to prepare and present concise and accurate reports.
