Firbank Grammar is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to work in our Senior School in an ongoing, full-time, position. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the education and wellbeing of students and applying the best practice for our Senior School students to achieve success.

The key role of this job is to provide engaging and thoughtful lessons, following planned activities in accordance with the faculty syllabi and school priorities. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a love for maths by creating engaging and innovative lessons that inspire students to excel.

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) ongoing role at our Brighton Senior School Campus.

Key responsibilities

• VCE Specialist Maths
• VCE Maths Methods
• Potentially a middle school Maths class as well, based on class numbers.

• Demonstrate passion for teaching Mathematics
• Teach in a way that enables all students to succeed
• Provide an appropriate role model for students in terms of punctuality, dress and conduct
• Observe safe work practices, maintain a safe and supportive environment
• Successfully perform the allotted load for this position, made up of the following subjects:

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience teaching VCE Maths Methods and Specialist Maths
• Current VIT registration
• Appropriate teaching qualification
• First Aid and CPR Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
