Are you passionate about supporting students with needs to succeed in their studies and have a positive learning experience? Are you ready to help support students bring their best to classrooms and set them up with some crucial life skills?
We are currently seeking compassionate and capable individuals to join our team as Student Education Assistants on a casual basis, working across our campuses.
This role is a great opportunity for:
- Students currently studying and looking to gain experience in education or support services
- Retired professionals seeking a meaningful and flexible way to contribute to their community and make a difference?
As a Student Education Assistant, you will provide one-on-one and in-class support for students who need support to help them participate, stay on track and succeed in their courses.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students with note taking, time management, organisation skills, and study techniques
- Helping students stay engaged and motivated
- Acting as a support person while reinforcing the importance of student independence
- Creating personalised plans to help students bring their best and complete their courses
- Supporting teacher directions and assisting with comprehension of new concepts and procedures
Note: This is a supportive role — you are not expected to complete work for students, but to guide and assist them in building skills and confidence.

We’re Looking For People Who Have:
- A natural empathy for supporting others
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confidence with digital tools and systems (to help students navigate learning platforms)
- The ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse range of students
- A collaborative mindset and a focus on student success
Employment Opportunity:
Casual as required - Will work across East Geelong, Geelong City and Wyndham campuses.
One casual opportunity within the Ballarat area – the candidate will work closely to support students taking classes in Ballart.
Salary:
$34 per hour plus Superannuation
Superannuation is paid at the current superannuation guarantee rate.
