Market Risk Analyst - Renewable Energy

I have partnered with a government-owned renewable energy company who specialize in the generation and storage of projects, such as wind, BESS and solar to deliver renewable energy in Australia.

They are looking for an Energy Market Risk Analyst to join their inhouse team in Melbourne to support across the trading and back-office teams adhering to the energy markets risk policy and the counterparty credit risk policy whilst assessing the performance of the wholesale portfolio. As a successful candidate you will be key user of the ETRM system and supporting the improvement and development of this whilst reporting interfaces.

Ideally you will need experience such as:

• 1-2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience on an energy market related area such as middle office function of a generator or retail business.
• Understanding of energy & environmental certificate markets
• Ability to work with large raw datasets, structuring analysis reports in Excel & PowerBI.
• Experience working with ETRM systems and data integration across different applications.
• Exposure to renewable energy and battery storage projects.
• An understanding of impacts on P&L, cash and balance sheet items.
• Knowledge and Experience across: ETRM's, EMRP, CCRP, Credit Monitoring, Trade Authority & Risk Modelling
