Linden Network offers a range of day-to-day administrative services, including clerical support, billing, record-keeping, and payroll, for small businesses in Canberra. Our primary clients include ACT Tree Felling and Maid in Canberra. We’re a small, friendly team based in Lyons, and we’re currently seeking a capable and proactive Administration Assistant/Office Manager to join us full-time.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position that suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced and varied office environment. You’ll be responsible for general office operations and client communication, supporting our clients and team with a range of administrative tasks. You will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively, with support available where needed.
Key Responsibilities
Handling incoming phone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner
Liaising with customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders
Scheduling and booking appointments and quotes using shared calendars
Accurate data entry and maintenance of records
Filing, photocopying, and document collation
Creating and reconciling invoices
Managing accounts payable, including bill and supplier payments
Processing payroll and superannuation payments for employees
Coordinating with external accountants and management as required
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with a confident, friendly manner who takes initiative and is motivated to get things done efficiently. You’ll need to be highly organised, client-focused, and be able to manage your time reasonably in a role that requires multitasking.
Essential Skills & Attributes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
Exceptional customer service and client relationship skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Confident in making and receiving calls and emails unsupervised
Demonstrated leadership qualities and a collaborative mindset
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles
Familiarity with digital communication platforms (e.g. email, SMS)
Desirable Skills
Experience using Xero accounting software
Confidence working with Apple Mac computers
Understanding of payroll services and basic bookkeeping
Remuneration
Above award wages under the Clerks – Private Sector Award 2020 (MA000002)
Final remuneration based on skills and experience

76 hours over an 8-day fortnight
76 hours over a 9-day fortnight
76 hours over a 10-day fortnight
*The final arrangement of your working hours will be determined as long as we have enough supporting staff
