We are seeking a career Paralegal looking to join our client who specialises in commercial litigation and debt recovery. With a strong reputation for delivering results, they pride themselves on providing practical legal solutions with a personal touch. You will be a proactive and detail-oriented Debt Recovery Paralegal, who will join their growing team.

In this role, you will support a legal team in managing debt recovery matters from initial instruction to resolution. You will handle a dedicated caseload, liaise with clients and debtors, and prepare court documents under supervision. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of debt recovery procedures and a passion for working in a dynamic legal environment.

Your day-to-day could include:

• Draft and file legal documents such as letters of demand, statements of claim, and enforcement proceedings
• Manage a portfolio of debt recovery matters (secured and unsecured) through all stages
• Liaise with clients, courts, and debtors in a professional and timely manner
• Conduct legal research and assist with the preparation of briefs
• Maintain accurate records and case management systems
• Provide general administrative and paralegal support to solicitors

So who will be suitable for the position?

• Prior experience as a paralegal in debt recovery or litigation (2–5 years preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Australian debt recovery processes and relevant legislation
• Ideally, you will hold knowledge of Queensland and Federal Court systems. Experience in NSW, VIC, S.A. & W.A. Court processes will also be highly regarded.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple files simultaneously
