About headspace
headspace are a busy and innovative youth mental health service providing a variety of mental health, medical, sexual and other health related services as well as vocational, functional groups and social services to young people aged 12 to 25 years and their families.
About the Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Director People & Learning, the Senior HR Advisor will work within a small team of HR professionals, providing high level support in the delivery of operational HR advice and to managers and staff across the Northern Territory for the purpose of achieving strategic organisational objectives.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum qualification of a Certificate/Diploma in human resources
- 5 years' experience within Human Resources delivering high level IR support to management and executive.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and contemporary HR practices.
- Demonstrated connections within and understanding of Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander community structures and protocols or at a minimum demonstrated commitment to working respectfully with Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse clients, communities, staff.
- The ability to lead and navigate complex HR matters and maintain meaningful relationships.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must provide 100 points of identification to confirm Australian citizenship or eligibility to work in Australia; possess a Working with Children (Ochre Card), a current National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a valid NT driver’s licence.
Experience of working closely with and having a strong understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture would be considered an advantage.
