Provide Supervision to Occupational Therapy Allied Health Assistants

Work with Occupational Therapy Allied Health Assistants to develop their professional development plans

Collaborate with the management team and OTs to continuously improve the occupational therapy services at The Shine Centre.

Develop Occupational Therapy Plans for clients

Attend Occupational Therapy sessions via Teams. Supervise the level 1 Allied Health Assistant who is face-to-face with the client throughout the session.

Ensure that OT sessions with AHAs are being implemented to the highest standard.

Write case notes for all OT sessions and supervision sessions

Complete OT Assessments as required

Complete OT reports and letters as required

Attend team meetings via Teams

There are options to come face-to-face into the clinic but this is not required.

What does a full-time role look like?

Oversee 20-25 hours of the AHA OT program per week

Provide supervision to the OT AHAs (individual and/or group supervision).

2 hours / week of OT AHA program development / project work

Remaining hours are for other tasks associated with the role (e.g., sessions, administration, report writing, receiving supervision, attending team meetings and so on)

Qualifications and Experiences

AHPRA Registration

Membership with OT Australia

Hold a degree in Occupational Therapy

Be able to supervise (or be at a point in your career you are ready to supervise! We will assist you with training and supervision so you can be confident in your role and abilities.)
