We’re seeking a friendly, confident, and organised Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our team in Mona Vale on a 12-month maternity leave contract — with the potential to become a permanent role. This role is essential in delivering exceptional care to our patients while supporting the daily operations of the practice both in the clinic and, at times, the front desk.

About the Role:

3-4-day work week (8:30-5:30). No weekends

This position would be ideal for someone looking to work part time hours on a permanent basis. The regular shifts would equal approximately 50 - 60 hours a fortnight, giving you a great work life balance.

Provide chairside assistance to our dental practitioners

Preparing treatment rooms

Maintaining a high level of sterilization and infection control procedures

Meet and greet patients, providing a great first impression

Carrying out reception duties

Book and amend appointments, answering the phone, handling payments

Supporting the team with the smooth running of the practice

Promoting the practice and building positive relationships with patients

About you:

You'll be:

Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting preferred

Minimum 6 months of demonstrated experience required in dental assisting, infection control and sterilisation

Praktika experience preferred but not essential

Admin or Reception experience preferred

You're a motivated self-starter

Excellent communication skills, exceptional chairside and phone manners

Passionate about customer service and patient care

Organised with attention to detail, and ability to prioritise workloads and multiple demands

Ability to build rapport with patients

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control

Friendly, reliable, a team player who is willing to learn and take initiative
