Location: Melbourne CBD (3 days on-site per week)

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Business/Functional Analyst to support the modernisation of a critical healthcare-related subsidy program within the Victorian public sector. The program assists regional and rural communities in accessing essential specialist medical services and is undergoing a major transformation to improve claims processing through a new digital platform.

This role is ideal for an analyst with a strong background in Agile delivery, stakeholder engagement, and systems documentation, who thrives in structured, outcome-driven environments.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12-month contract

Working Arrangement: 3 days per week on-site in Melbourne CBD

BYOD: Contractors must provide their own laptops

Rate: $900/day inclusive of super

Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate stakeholder workshops, preparing agendas, presentation materials, and supporting documentation

Map and document current and future state business processes

Create Epics, Features, and detailed User Stories (functional and non-functional)

Develop Business Requirements Definitions and Functional Design Specifications

Assist with system integration documentation, data classification, and traceability mapping

Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams to align business needs with technical solutions

Support UAT and contribute to solution demonstrations

Experience Required

.net experience is essential

Strong experience delivering Agile business analysis and functional documentation

Skilled in developing user stories, mock-ups, process flows, and integration specifications

Ability to confidently engage and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders

Proven capability to lead workshops and facilitate collaborative design

Experience capturing system requirements and integration points

Previous exposure to government, public sector, or regulated industries preferred

Familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps or similar for requirements tracking
