The Scheduler will prepare project schedules and plans covering the full project scope and all project phases. They will optimise schedules to ensure delivery of all projects and programs meet the project objectives, timelines and budgets whilst maintaining consistency, accuracy and efficiency in scheduling across Program Delivery and System & Asset Planning.
Systems and Processes
- Evaluate current procedures and recommend changes to improve efficiency of planning and scheduling
- Create and maintain data in Primavera P6 in accordance with current procedures and processes
Delivery
- Prepare project schedules (in accordance with Scheduling processes and procedures) to deliver projects within budget and on time, from Project Initiation through to close out and handover.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure project plans and schedules are aligned.
- Establish project key milestones and ensure they are tracked and reported on.
- Identify the critical path for the project and detail in the schedule; report progress against the path as required.
- Maintain and update schedules and ensure the Project Manager is aware of any critical issues which may affect critical path or milestones
- Undertake review and approval of RDC’s Schedules including validation of baseline schedule and conformance to Contract requirements.
- Assist the Project Manager with the validation of compensation events time component and ensure approved EOT claims are incorporated into the schedule baseline as required.
- Prepare and monitor variance reports in respect of progress, costs, time and resources against plan and schedule.
- Participation in Project Post reviews and resulting actions to continuously improve scheduling processes.
- Conduct Earned Value Analysis on the Project to provide insight to Stakeholders about project performance against Approved Baseline and propose remedial actions accordingly.
- Hands on Experience in Cost Loading, Resource Loading and forecasting in P6
Experience and skills
- Hands on Experience in developing and utilizing P6 Reports and Global Change
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills
- Problem solving
- Strong organisational skills
- Approximately 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of current relative legislation
- Experience utilising scheduling system namely Primavera P6 and Microsoft Projects
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts and best practices for scheduling
- Advance knowledge in using Excel
- Power BI reporting skills
Pay Rate: Up to $900 per day plus super
Hours of Work: 8 hours per day/ 40 hours per week
Location: Chatswood, Hybrid, minimum 3 days per week in the office.
Required Checks: 2 Reference checks, Police Check
