The Lower Eyre Council has the ideal role for a friendly and detail oriented, fast learner!
This job-share opportunity will work from the Cummins Office of Council administering Council rates, maintaining data bases and processing payroll for over 50 employees. The position is for 16 hours a week and could be worked either 8.30am – 5pm, Thursday and Friday or alternatively, Wednesday to Friday 9.00am to 3pm.
The role is (jointly) responsible for the following key areas:
· Managing the processes associated with Council’s rating system effectively.
· Effectively maintaining property data bases and records.
· Financial issues associated with payroll, rates and property are managed accurately and effectively.
· Ensuring payroll processes are effectively and accurately managed and maintained with timely disbursement of wages, salaries, deductions, superannuation and taxation.
· Providing a reference point to employees on matters relating to payroll including awards, superannuation and associated deductions.
While previous experience in payroll or database management is an advantage, training will be provided to the successful person along with outstanding employment conditions, such as a corporate health program, skin cancer screenings, uniforms, and paid leave between Christmas and New Year, all in addition to great hourly rates of pay.
Salary and conditions of employment will be at Level 4 in accordance with the Council’s Enterprise Bargaining Agreement, currently ranging from $41.79 and $44.51 per hour.
As this is a job-share position, the ability to provide coverage over the full week on occasion will be viewed favourably (Flexibility in the daily hours required to provide this coverage may be negotiable).
