An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced tax professional to join an established, firm in Perth.

About the Role

This is a rare, newly created position focused exclusively on providing high-level tax advice to a diverse client base of private groups, family offices, business owners and high-net-worth individuals. There is no compliance work and no portfolio management - just pure advisory projects and direct client-facing engagements. This role will lead the firms new Tax Advisory division as they embark on a national expansion and a road map to grow to 250 staff in the next 12 months.

You will be responsible for:

• Drafting formal, high-level tax advice
• Managing technical advisory projects across private group structuring, succession planning, M&A, transaction advisory and cross-border issues
• Assisting with ATO reviews, objections and rulings
• Advising on indirect tax and bespoke technical matters

About You

Ideal candidates will have:

• At least 3, ideally 5+ years’ experience in a tax advisory, tax consulting or tax manager role within public practice
• Strong experience drafting detailed tax advice for private clients and business owners
• Exposure to ATO review and dispute management processes
• A strong technical grounding in interpreting tax legislation and applying it in practice
• CTA or Master of Tax qualifications (or progress towards) highly regarded
