An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced tax professional to join a growing, specialist tax advisory team in Perth.

About the Role

This is a rare, newly created position focused exclusively on providing high-level technical tax advice to a diverse client base of private groups, family offices and businesses. There is no compliance work and no portfolio management - just pure advisory projects and client-facing engagements.

You’ll be responsible for drafting detailed tax advice, working directly with clients, and managing complex and varied advisory matters, including:

• Private group structuring and succession planning
• M&A and transactional tax advice
• ATO reviews, rulings and objections
• Cross-border and international tax issues
• Indirect tax matters and bespoke advisory projects

The role also offers scope to mentor junior advisers, contribute to technical training initiatives, and take a key role in shaping the direction of the team as it continues to grow. There is also a clear progression pathway and potential equity in the future.

About You

Seeking a commercially minded tax specialist with:

• A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a senior tax consulting, advisory or tax manager role within a mid-tier or specialist advisory firm
• Strong experience drafting technical tax advice for private clients, business owners and high-net-worth groups
• Exposure to ATO review processes and dispute management highly regarded
• Excellent technical interpretation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex issues to clients
• CTA or Master of Tax qualifications (or progress towards) highly desirable
