About the Role
As an APS5 Workforce Operations Officer, you will provide essential administrative and operational support across all recruitment and onboarding activities within the Reviews and Information Release and Chief Counsel Divisions.
You’ll work closely with internal Recruitment Business Partners, Workforce Procurement, and other stakeholders to coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes. This is a busy and fast-paced environment requiring strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Key Duties
- Build and maintain strong relationships across business units and recruitment teams
- Coordinate recruitment activities including scheduling interviews, collating selection reports, and requesting references
- Manage onboarding and offboarding tasks such as ICT access, building passes, and internal communications
- Monitor shared mailboxes and assign internal work items appropriately
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
- Provide general high-level administrative support across the recruitment lifecycle
About You You’ll be a team player with excellent communication skills and a knack for organisation. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Demonstrated experience supporting high-volume recruitment or workforce coordination
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience using recruitment platforms such as eRecruit (Acendre) is highly regarded
- A flexible, proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Previous experience working within the Australian Public Service (beneficial)
- Familiarity with public sector recruitment processes and compliance
- A collaborative and adaptable working style
