Make a meaningful difference with us:

We want people who are great as individuals, and even better in a team.

We’re excited to introduce the newly established position of Case Resolution Lead, a key role in driving fair, consistent, and people-focused employee relations across the organisation. You will be at the forefront of resolving complex workplace matters, partnering with leaders to deliver practical, risk-aware advice that supports a positive and respectful work environment.

Leading a small team of dedicated team of Case Advisors, you will provide expert guidance and oversight across a broad spectrum of employee relations issues—including performance management, conduct, grievances, and complaints. Your leadership will ensure high-quality case management practices that reflect our values and commitment to our people.

Please note, this is a full time, permanent position. Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too - this role supports hybrid working.

Your part in our UnitingCare team:

Lead complex case matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and serious grievances, ensuring consistent and fair process aligned to organisational values and compliance requirements.

Prepare and represent the business unit in conciliation matters to support defensible decision-making and achieve the best possible outcome for the organisation.

Monitor case progression and support resolution strategies to ensure matters are handled consistently, fairly and in line with UCQ policy, values, and legislative requirements.

Escalate high-risk, high-impact, or unresolved cases to the Manager Case Resolution in a timely and well documented manner.

Provide oversight, quality assurance and practical guidance to Advisors managing day-to-day cases including misconduct, performance management, grievances, and complaints.

Act as the primary Case Resolution contact point, developing trusted relationships with operational leaders to understand context, build ER capability, and support resolution of workplace issues.

Support leaders in early intervention and informal resolution strategies to reduce escalation and formalisation of matters where appropriate.

What makes a difference for us?

Tertiary qualifications in Law, Human Resources or Industrial Relations, with demonstrated experience in enterprise bargaining, including preparation, negotiation support, and documentation in a complex or multi-agreement environment.

Sound knowledge of contemporary employment law, enterprise agreements, and workplace policies as they apply in a case management context.

Strong experience in managing a range of ER cases including performance, conduct, grievance, and complaint matters within a complex service environment.

Experience preparing documentation for external forums such as the Fair Work Commission and supporting representation in conciliations and similar processes.

Demonstrated experience supporting effective communication and consultation with employees, leaders, and union representatives.
