We're seeking experienced Speech Pathologists to join our team of courageous multi-disciplinary clinicians dedicated to delivering exceptional therapy services, supporting individuals at every stage of life.
Therapy Focus is an established non-for-profit community service organisation and a respected leader in the disability support sector.
Your role
Focus on impact; with realistic billable targets, as well as administration and scheduling support. Work alongside skilled clinical leaders and embrace learning through mentorship, development days and reflection. Follow your passion with our team of over 300 allied health clinicians, including experts in areas such as assistive technology and neuro-affirming practice.
We currently have multiple permanent, full-time and part-time positions available across our Western Australian bases, from Perth to Bunbury and surrounding suburbs.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Manage a varied caseload, supporting a range of different people of all ages, living with or without a disability
- Apply collaborative, family centered practice principles in service delivery
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and provide a range of Speech Pathology services and develop comprehensive therapy plans
- Provide Speech Therapy services within a clinical, school and/or community setting
- Share clinical knowledge and expertise with the team and participate in training and development activities
What makes you the right candidate?
- Relevant Degree qualifications in Speech Pathology
- Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Previous clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist with working knowledge of AAC
- Ideally have experience within NDIS and the disability support sector
- Well-developed understanding of Dysphagia and mealtime management
- A passion for helping people and supporting people of all ages living with a disability
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in PROMPT and AUSLAN is desirable
- Ideally have experience supporting autism spectrum disorder, early Intervention, literacy and social skills
- Hold a valid HLTAID011 First Aid Certificate with at least 6 months validity
- All successful applicants must have or be willing to obtain a Drivers License, National Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance prior to commencement
