Your Opportunity - Mechanical Maintenance Fitter - $53.90 ph base rate

• Work life balance roster of Monday to Friday 8.30AM-4.36PM
• Banksmeadow location
• The primary purpose is to ensure Sort Systems and related depot equipment is fully maintained and functioning at full capacity at Team Global Express's PUD processing centre at Banksmeadow
• Routine preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on all mechanical plant and equipment
• Assisting in the design of innovative system and facility solutions to meet evolving operational and business needs
• Ensuring rapid repair of critical system components
• Supporting operational personnel in the correct usage of systems and equipment
• Ensuring critical spare parts are maintained in a neat and orderly manner
• Ensuring that hazards are identified, and risks are assessed and controlled. Acting immediately to stop any observed unsafe act or condition
• Participating in training to maintain the required competencies in current and introduced technologies
• Be actively involved with OHS audits and any corrective actions
• Complying with the organisation's policies including - safe working practices, occupational health and safety
• Participating in and actively supporting service quality and workplace improvement activities

What you'll bring to this role

To be successful in this role, you could have the following experience:

• Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Australian Trade Recognised)
• Proven experience in a similar maintenance fitting role
• Understanding of PLC, VSD and SCADA installations
• General knowledge of carton and package handling conveyor systems
• Proficient in reading complex technical diagrams
• Proficient in maintain complex mechanical systems
• Proficient with conveying equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Capacity to utilise computerised maintenance management (MEX) software systems effectively
• Available to work Monday to Friday
• Ideally an electrical connect/disconnect ticket,
• Ability to work unsupervised,
• Demonstrated ability working within a fast-paced environment
