About the role
The Research and Quality Manager (Pulmonary Malignancy) will work closely with the Director of Pulmonary Malignancy to support lung cancer clinical research activities. The successful candidate will contribute to various aspects of research, including grant preparation, ethics and governance, collaboration facilitation, project management, stakeholder engagement and general research tasks.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Assist in preparing and submitting grant applications related to lung cancer research.
- Collaborate with the research team to ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and governance requirements.
- Assist UQ and MNHHS with coordinating student placements within the clinical research program.
- Organise investigator meetings and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including funding bodies.
- Support the clinical research team to manage research projects, ensuring smooth execution.
- Stay informed about grant opportunities relevant to pulmonary malignancy research.
- Extensive knowledge of ethics and governance processes.
