Your opportunity

As a Linesperson, based at Chinchilla, you’ll build on your highly practiced electrical skills to ensure the integrity of our LV and HV overhead powerlines and underground infrastructure for our communities.

Here’s how you’ll do it:

Carry out maintenance (preventative, planned, unplanned), and repairs to our distribution network to ensure its ongoing reliability.
Construct and augment our distribution network to meet the changing needs of our residential and commercial customers and other stakeholders.
Install, repair, commission and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant that make up our vast distribution network.

What’s on offer?

The remuneration for your new role is from $113k + 14.75% superannuation + applicable allowances

Location Incentives:

• Non-Urban Zone Allowance – up to $6,360 per annum
• Housing Allowance – up to $14,040 per annum
• Locality Allowance – up to $1,190 per annum
• Non-Urban Time Recognition Payments - $5,000 after 2 years and if you decide to stay on for 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years, we’ll pay you $5,000 at each milestone

What you’ll bring

• A Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certification as an Electrical Linesperson
• Trade qualified with a Queensland Live Line authorisation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of an electrical network.
• Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship or an Australian permanent residency.

We’d also love you to have:

• Well-developed interpersonal communication skills to develop good working relationships with team members and external customers. You must have the ability to identify and understand customer needs
• Availability for call out and emergency work
• Willingness to travel to surrounding area from time to time to undertake work
