We're on the lookout for a reliable and skilled 2nd Class Welder to join our busy steel fabrication and manufacturing team in Salisbury. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a respected and long-standing company supplying high-quality structural steel, custom bolts, foundation cages, and concrete connection components for major construction and infrastructure projects across South Australia.

Pay Rate: $36.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 3:30pm | Friday, 7:00am - 1:00pm
Overtime: Available most days, with occasional Saturday work

About the Role

In this hands-on role, you'll support our production team by carrying out a range of welding duties, including:

• MIG and flux-core welding on mild steel and structural components
• Basic fabrication and tacking of steel parts
• Reading and interpreting basic fabrication drawings
• Assisting with setup and operation of welding/fabrication machinery
• Collaborating with fabricators and boilermakers on various production tasks
• Performing quality checks to meet job requirements
• Adhering to safety protocols and proper use of PPE

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

• Prior welding experience in a workshop or similar setting
• Ability to produce clean, consistent welds on mild steel
• Familiarity with MIG and/or flux-core welding
• Basic ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
• A team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic
• Commitment to safety, accuracy, and quality
• Welding certifications or trade qualifications (advantageous, but not essential)
