We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced 2nd Class Welder to join a busy steel fabrication and manufacturing team based in Salisbury. This is a great opportunity to be part of a well-established company delivering high-quality structural steel, custom bolts, foundation cages, and concrete connection products for major construction and infrastructure projects across South Australia.

Pay Rate: $38 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 3:30pm; Friday, 7:00am - 1:00pm
Potential overtime available daily and some Saturdays

About the Role:

As a 2nd Class Welder, you will support the production team by performing a range of welding tasks, including:

MIG and flux-core welding on mild steel and structural components

Basic fabrication and tacking of steel parts

Reading and interpreting simple fabrication drawings

Assisting in the setup and operation of welding and fabrication equipment

Working closely with fabricators and boilermakers on assembly and production tasks

Conducting quality checks to ensure work meets job specifications

Following all workshop safety procedures and using PPE appropriately

What We're Looking For:

Relevant welding experience in a workshop or similar environment

Ability to perform clean, consistent welds on mild steel

Familiarity with MIG and/or flux-core welding processes

Ability to read basic engineering drawings

Good physical fitness and manual handling capability

Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and support the team

Commitment to safety and attention to detail

Trade qualifications or certifications are beneficial but not required.
